Parent support services
You don't have to do this alone
Our Parent Support Services are here for parents and carers of all enrolled children at every stage — offering practical guidance, emotional support and a welcoming community where you truly belong.
Support designed around you
Parenting is one of the most rewarding — and challenging — journeys you'll ever take. Our dedicated support team walks alongside you, providing the tools, knowledge and connections to help families thrive.
Whether you're navigating life as a young parent at school, managing the demands of a new baby, or simply needing that extra support from a community that understands, we're here for you.
What we offer
Parenting programs
Structured programs covering child development, positive parenting strategies, nutrition, sleep and wellbeing — delivered in a supportive group setting.
One-on-one support
Personalised guidance from our community family liaison officer, tailored to your individual circumstances and goals.
Life skills development
Practical workshops covering budgeting, cooking, health literacy and other essential life skills to build confidence and independence.
Community connection
Weekly peer groups, excursions and incursions and baby bonding time to help parents to build friendships, reduce isolation and feel part of a caring community.
Referral and advocacy
We connect families with external services including housing, health, legal and financial support — and advocate on your behalf when needed.
Wellbeing check-ins
Regular wellbeing check-ins to ensure parents and children are safe, healthy and supported through every stage of their journey.
Young Parent Program
Our Young Parent Program is specifically designed for parents who are still completing their secondary education. We work closely with Balga Senior High School to ensure young parents can continue their studies while receiving the childcare and support they need.
The program counts as two WACE unit equivalents through the Community Service and Action (CSA) pathway, meaning your time as a parent is recognised as part of your education. Our team provides mentoring, advocacy and practical support to help you succeed both as a parent and a student.
"Having support around me made all the difference. I didn't feel judged — I felt like someone actually believed in me."
